Pastoral Care is here 24 hours a day, seven days a week and we’re very proud of that fact. That is something that a lot of hospital can’t offer or choose not to offer. When there is an emergency or death, we’re right there with the patients, families, physicians and other health care providers. Through pastoral care, we try to see all of the patients we can.

The cancer education support group is second to none in this area. It gives patients a chance to talk out loud about their hopes, their fears and their pain.

The most important thing we can give is the gift of our presence. This tells patients, “you’re important, so I’m going to put aside everything and listen to you.”
