Each year, the chapel members at Naval Amphibious
Base Little Creek Chapel donate a portion of their weekly
offerings to charitable causes that meet basic needs and are
either Catholic or outreach-related. Since 1997, chapel members
have donated more than $29,000 to Bon Secours DePaul’s
Sister Agatha Memorial Endowment Campaign to raise funds to
build a $1 million endowment which will assure future funding
for health care programs and services for sick members of
our community who cannot afford health care. The purpose of
the fund is to make sure that all aspects of a patient’s
needs are provided for-- physical, social, emotional and spiritual.
“It’s important for our members to know they are
directly assisting people in the community,” said Father
Allen R. Kuss. “That’s why they have chosen this
cause year after year.”
