(Portsmouth, Va. – April 11, 2006)  -- Chinmayee Debnath, M.D., has joined Western Branch Family Practice, a primary care center with Bon Secours Hampton Roads Health System.  Dr. Debnath received residency training in pediatrics at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, and in family practice at Portsmouth Family Medicine in Portsmouth, Va. 

Most recently, Dr. Debnath worked for the U.S. Navy at the branch medical clinic of the Naval Weapons Station in Yorktown, Va., and in Tricare Prime under Hunter Medical Inc., in Norfolk, Va.  She also has worked at Family and Internal Medical Centre in Virginia Beach, Va., Sentara Enterprises in Tricare Prime in Norfolk, and TPMG Urgent Care and Research Center in Newport News, Va.

Western Branch Family Practice provides high quality medical care for all members of the family including annual and pre-surgical physicals; management of ongoing medical conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes and high cholesterol; and wellness screenings.  Western Branch Family Practice also provides care for children including well child visits, immunizations, school and sports physicals; gynecology services for women including pap smears; and routine diagnostic testing including blood work, urinalysis, and EKG's performed in the office.
