The Joint and Spine Center is one of DePaul's distinctive and specialized units specifically dedicated to helping patients overcome pain and recover mobility.
In addition to the center, DePaul can provide comprehensive care by offering access to its inpatient physical therapy unit, inpatient rehabilitation unit, transitional care center, home care services and outpatient physical therapy.
Patients and their families can feel confident that recovery will be coordinated; they don't have to search for these services. They are all available at DePaul!

Specialized Staff
A great part of the success of a center like DePaul's is the highly specialized staff. Nurses and therapists consistently care for individuals who have undergone the same types of surgical procedures and they can easily anticipate patient needs. There's even a patient care coordinator for the center that works with individuals to make sure their personal needs are met and to ensure that the experience exceeds their expectations.
A Focus on Education
In addition to the medical expertise of the physicians and staff, the center also offers patients and their caregiver access to a comprehensive educational program. The focus on patient and caregiver education prior to surgery and follow-up services after is critical to a successful recovery. Because patients are electing to have a surgical procedure, they are encouraged to have visitors whenever they want, wear street clothes and participate in group physical therapy sessions.
