Dae B Chough, MD, FACC

Dae B Chough, MD, FACC Cardiovascular Disease

Dr. Chough is a Clinical Cardiologist. He earned his medical degree at Medical School of Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea. He completed both his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Chough is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Dr. Chung, is a Clinical Cardiologist specially trained in interventional procedures. He earned dual undergraduate degrees in Biophysics and Religious Studies from University of Virginia, and his medical degree from UVa’s School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at University of Minnesota Hospital and Clinics, Minneapolis. Since 1997, Dr. Chung has been a Clinical Associate Professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.

Thomas J Hoffmier, MD, FACC

Thomas J Hoffmier, MD, FACC Cardiology and Cardiovascular Disease

Dr. Thomas Hoffmier earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He went on to complete an internship and residency in medicine and a fellowship in cardiology at St. Luke's Hospital Center, New York, New York. Previously he held the positions Chairman of the Department of Medicine and Co-Director of Cardiology for Williamsburg Community Hospital, Williamsburg Virginia. Dr. Hoffmier proudly served in the United States Navy where he was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with two bronze stars, National Defense Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and an Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea).

Calin Vasile Maniu, MD, FACC, FAHA, FSCAI

Dr. Maniu earned his medical degree from Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania. His graduate medical education includes residencies in Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, Florida; Cardiovascular Disease at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota; and Interventional Cardiology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Adult Transthoracic Echocardiography, Interventional Cardiology, and Cardiac Computed Tomography. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, and the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Intervention.

Nauman Naseer, MD, FACC, FACP, FSCAI

Dr. Nauman Naseer completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Westchester Medical Center, the University Hospital of New York Medical College, Valhalla. During the course of his training as a senior resident, he received the award for the most outstanding physician among his peers. He served as chief medical resident and assistant professor of Medicine at the same institution, receiving several honors and awards from the New York Medical College and the American College of Physicians. He completed his Cardiology fellowship and then also underwent his Interventional Cardiology fellowship training at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.

During his practice he has had the experience of working in top- ranked cardiac centers. He has been a contributing author for several well-known medical textbooks and research articles. He also serves as an assistant professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School.

He is one of the few physicians in the region with five board certifications. His specialty includes clinical cardiology, non-invasive imaging and interventions (coronary, structural and peripheral). He has affiliations with several professional organizations and has been awarded Fellow status by the American College of Physicians, American College of Cardiology and Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention. Dr. Naseer was recently recognized as the Top Doctor by the US News & World Report.

Allen B Nichols, MD, FACC

Allen B Nichols, MD, FACC Interventional Cardiology and Internal Medicine

Dr. Nichols attended and graduated from Yale College in New Haven, Connecticut. He went on to study medicine at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. He completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center where he also completed a cardiology fellowship. Dr. Nichols went on to become a clinical and research fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. For ten years he taught cardiology and cardiac catheterization at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, where he was an assistant professor and associate professor of clinical medicine.

Dr. Nichols is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and interventional cardiology. He is a published researcher and won the Byrd S. Leavell Research Award and the Investigator Award of the New York Heart Association. He is currently a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Council on Clinical Cardiology.He is an active member in the Virginia Medical Society and the Newport News Medical Society.

Saumil V. Patel, MD

Saumil V. Patel, MD Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease

Dr. Patel received his medical degree from SMT. N.H.L. Municipal Medical College, Gujarat University, India.  He went on to complete an internal medicine residency at New York Methodist Hospital and the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, where he also completed a research fellowship.  He began his cardiology fellowship at the University of Louisville Hospital and completed his interventional cardiology training at the University of Illinois at Chicago Hospital.  He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, cardiac computed tomography and nuclear cardiology.  Dr. Patel has authored numerous abstracts and publications and is actively involved in cardiology clinical research.

Marc J Rosenberg, MD

Dr. Rosenberg earned his undergraduate degree from University of Virginia, and his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. His post-graduate training includes an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Good Samaritan Medical Center, Phoenix, Arizona, followed by a Cardiology Fellowship, also at Good Samaritan. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Cardiology.

George A Sarris, MD, FACC, FASE

George A Sarris, MD, FACC, FASE Diagnostic Cardiology and Cardiovascular Disease

Dr. Sarris, a Clinical Cardiologist, received a Bachelor's of Science from City University of New York and his MD from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. His internship and residency in Internal Medicine was completed at Barnes Hospital/Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. Further study includes a stint as Clinical Fellow, Cardiovascular Disease, at Washington University School of Medicine. Since 2002, Dr. Sarris has been Medical Director of Diagnostic Cardiology at Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center. Certified by the National Board of Echocardiography, he is a Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and of the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (pending).

Ryan N Seutter, MD

Ryan N Seutter, MD Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease

Dr. Seutter earned his medical degree at University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Medical School and continued his education there with a residency in Internal Medicine. Further post-doctoral education includes Fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease at Baylor College of Medicine, and in Cardiac Electrophysiology at University of Minnesota. He is published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology and in Anticancer Research. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and in Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Edward Skillen, DO, FACC

Edward Skillen, DO, FACC Cardiology and Internal Medicine

Dr. Skillen, is a Clinical Cardiologist who graduated cum laude from Barrington College, Rhode Island, and earned his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at the United States Public Health Service Hospital at Staten Island, New York. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Kevin E Zawacki, MD, FACC

Kevin E Zawacki, MD, FACC Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology

Kevin E. Zawacki, MD, FACC received his Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Alma College in Alma, Mich. and earned his Doctorate of Medicine from the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md. He completed his residency and internship in internal medicine at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda. Additionally, Dr. Zawacki completed his fellowship training in cardiovascular disease and in interventional cardiology at the University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore, Md.

A member of the American College of Cardiology, Dr. Zawacki is board certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Internal Medicine. Prior to joining Bon Secours, he served as staff interventional cardiologist at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Va.
