Meet Our Team - George Lam, PA-C

Lung-Sang "George" Lam, PA-C, joins the Bon Secours Heart Institute as a cardiac surgery physician assistant with more than 15 years experience. Lam's most recent position was as a physician assistant at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, Honolulu. Prior to that, he was chief physician assistant at Mid-Atlantic Cardiothoracic Surgeons, Norfolk, VA. He also worked in Richmond, Va., as a physician assistant for Cardiac Surgical Associates, and as a cardiac EMT for West End Volunteer Rescue Squad.

Lam received his bachelor's degree in chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Va., and his PA certification from Northeastern University, Boston. He is experienced in all aspects of pre and post-operative care of cardiothoracic surgical patients, including 10 years of intensive care practice.
