"We raised over $676 for battered women"
Each year, Jackie Longworth plans and hosts a neighborhood block Christmas Party, along with five other neighbors. They go from house to house, starting with appetizers and ending with desserts. They also hold a raffle to raise money to donate to an organization that helps those in need in the community. The host families provide raffle items. “This year we raised over $676 and donated to the HER Shelter for battered women. Being with friends and sharing in making a difference is what makes Christmas special.”
