Taking pride in her work and exceeding the standards.
Dawn Crowther, a CT Tech at Mary Immaculate Hospital, had finished at CT on a patient and noticed that he had a Bone Density scheduled for December. To save him another trip back to the hospital, Dawn called Mammography to see if they could fit him into their schedule. Then she looked at his paperwork and noticed that his particular symptoms would not be diagnosed through a Bone Density exam, but rather a Nuclear Medicine Bone Scan.
Instead of sitting by, Dawn took the initiative and called his doctor's office for further verification. The doctor's office confirmed that indeed a Nuclear Bone Scan was what they had wanted and an appointment was made for him. Taking pride in her work and exceeding the standards, Dawn worked on behalf of her patient- sparing him an unnecessary and costly exam.
